How to Use WhatsApp as a Private Store for your photos, memos, Documents and Notes

WhatsApp has always prioritized making your data and communication as secure as possible. WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption and supports two-factor authentication, which makes it one of the most secure messaging apps. It is super-fast, works on nearly all phones (including desktop computers). WhatsApp is more than just a messaging app. you can use the app to quick transfer files between computer and Smart Phone. Or make it a private storehouse for your photos, links, voice memos, documents and more. With a few steps, you can essentially send files to yourself or create temporary, secure cloud storage using WhatsApp. So, what you can do with WhatsApp.

  • Open WhatsApp and create a new group. Add any contact from your Mobile address book to this new group. Give your group a name (Whatsapp Store/Drive) and save.


  • Go to the group in WhatsApp, tap the subject to view participants. Tap and hold the participant and remove them from the group.

  • Now have a private store in WhatsApp that is visible only to you and accessible from the web (desktop) and your mobile phone

Now you can transfer any photo, links, memo, document from PC to mobile device and Vice-versa. On desktop Browser open web.whatsap.com. Tap on the whatsApp Web and Scan Barcode and send the file to this group that will instantly available on your phone. There is an inbuilt search feature in-app, that will help you to locate your documents easily.
